Student Leadership

Student Leadership is an integral part of Calderstones School throughout years 7-13. Students are rewarded their roles due to their achievements in school. Student Leadership is celebrated via our main school Twitter feed (@CaldiesSchool).

Calderstones School Student Leadership team is made up of the following roles:

Headteacher Ambassadors

The Student Leadership team is headed up a group of 6th form students. These students are awarded the title of Senior Ambassador; they are a positive role model, enthusiastic and committed to the school. They lead the school council and make a positive difference to the school.

The school council involves approximately 20 students across each key stage. These students are actively involved in decision making and regularly lead on whole school projects, ensuring the voice of each student is heard. You can follow their progress and success here via their Twitter feed.

Our Junior Ambassadors are high profile both in school and in our local community. They run many events, most notably those which involve our feeder primary schools. They also provide tours for prospective pupils and parents throughout the year. If you would like to arrange a school tour please do not hesitate to get in touch.

A lead learner is a student who is recognised for being responsible, mature, organised, always completing their homework,  proactive, asking questions,  independent and resilient. They consistently achieve excellent behaviour, attitude to learning and attendance reports. They are actively involved in the school ethos.
