Tidy Calderstones 2023 - Experience Guarantee

As part of our exciting extra-curricular initiative 'Calderstones Experience Guarantee', Year 8 and Year 9 are taking part in a social responsibility project to tidy Calderstones Park.

Inspired by local litter-picking group the Penny Lane Wombles, approximately 520 students will help tidy the park in the build up to Christmas. If each managed to pick up just three pieces of litter, this would be over 1500 pieces of litter cleared in total!

Each week, 4 classes will head to Calderstones Park during PSHE lessons  to collect litter for 1 hour and will be sponsored by family and friends. We have made it clear to the students that if their personal circumstances don’t allow them to raise money, they are still contributing to the effort by taking part in the tidy, and making a positive impact in our local community.

The majority of the money raised will go towards experiences the students will enjoy for the rest of the year as part of their ‘Experience Guarantee’. If you would like to sponsor our students on their park tidy mission - please donate via the link here.
