Career Programme Model

Advising students about the career pathways on offer is a fundamental role of secondary school and giving the right advice will allow students make informed choices about their own futures and realise their potential.  To ensure that this happens, there will be a number of embedded activities to give students information about future choices. These activities will be enhanced through regular contact with universities and employers which will be organised over the year.

Our aim is support all of our students from Year 7 and have a number of bespoke opportunities for disadvantaged students. We will endeavour to inspire and enthuse students in to looking at the world of work through an extensive and fluid work related learning programme.

A full live programme of events can be found here.

The effectiveness of our careers guidance will be reflected in the higher number of students progressing to ‘positive’ destinations such as apprenticeships, technical routes, sixth-form colleges, further education colleges, universities and employment. Destination data (DfE) is used to assess how successfully students make the transition to the next stage of education, training or employment and to inform future CEIAG provision.
