Carboot Sellers Information & Booking

Access

Sellers access via Harthill Road from 8am until 12:30pm. Please note, that the carboot entrance is the Staff Car Park, which is further down Harthill Road than the main school entrance, past Quarry Hall and Quarry Gym towards Calderstones Road.

Process

  • There may be a queue depending on your arrival time
  • All sellers with vehicles will be handed a numbered flyer to avoid queue jumping
  • If you have pre-booked, you will be given a pre-booked flyer
  • If you do not have a flyer, you will be asked to join the end of the queue
  • We will start letting the seller vehicles in at 08:00 - possibly before depending on queues
  • Stewards will show you where to park. Please only park where directed

The allocation of places is on a first-come, first served basis. All pre-booked vehicles are guaranteed a pitch.

Payment & Pre-booking

Payment is for the pitch only. Tables are not provided at this time.

Fees are below and will be taken by cash/card (cash preferred) on access to the site:

  • £10 Car Pitch (Pre-booked)
  • £15 Van Pitch (Pre-booked)
  • £10 Walk-in (on the day)
  • £15 Car Pitch (on the day)
  • £25 Large vehicle/van (on the day)

Pre-booking is not essential but will guarantee you a space on the day and saves you £5 for cars and £10 for vans! To pre-book, click the button below and please enter your vehicle's number plate and model in the notes box provided.

  • Vehicles will not be allowed to leave before 12:30pm.
  • Please start packing up at 12:30pm and vacate the site by 1pm.  
  • We kindly ask that all sellers take their rubbish and unsold objects away with them.

Rules and Further Information – Please Read

  • This is a completely open-air event, and there is no covered area available on site to shelter from the elements  
  • Toilets are located by the main car boot area 
  • Security:  Please keep your valuables, mobile phones and cash takings on your person at all times
  • Food and beverages are available
  • There is No Smoking on site
  • This is a dog-friendly event.
  • We don't accept £50 notes  
  • Sadly, no public event is immune to this, but we would like visitors to be aware that pickpockets may be in operation. Please keep your valuables safe.
  • Receipt of the flyer does not guarantee your vehicle entry to the sale if space is not available
  • If you do not have a flyer, you are not in the queue and you will not be allowed in 
  • Please only park where directed
  • Please be aware that it is illegal to let an engine idle whilst stationary on a public road. Please keep engines turned off once parked
  • No priority or preferential parking
  • You must take all your rubbish and any unsold objects away with you.  Any sellers found leaving items or rubbish will have their registration number noted and may be excluded from future sales
  • Please report any broken glass or other hazardous debris to one of the organisers, who will arrange safe disposal of the item
  • No selling of food, alcohol, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes/vape products, pornography or counterfeit audio/visual goods (including games and software). Any form of weapon, real or replica, kitchen knives, goods that cause offence or incite racial, sexual or religious hatred and Nazi memorabilia will be asked to leave and may be reported to the police
  • No car radios or audio systems to be played
  • Gazebos that do not extend beyond pitch boundaries are allowed. However, should stewards decide that a gazebo is too big you may be asked to take it down, or a charge may be payable. On busy days, we reserve the right to refuse gazebos
  • You will not be allowed to leave before 12:30
  • You must start packing up at 12:30pm and vacate the site by 1pm. Late leavers will have their registration number noted and may be excluded from future sales. 
  • Any sellers deliberately leaving items of rubbish will have their registration numbers noted and may be excluded from future sales  
  • The Car Boot Sale is organised by Friends of Calderstones Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Neither the PTA nor anybody acting on its behalf accepts any liability for loss or damage to any property (including but not limited to any vehicles or their contents) during the Car Boot Sale. By entering the Car Boot Sale you confirm your agreement to this and the terms and conditions above
