What is this course about?

A-level maths consists of 3 papers and they are completed at the end of Y13 with assessments from Edexcel.

The assessments are: Paper 1 Pure Mathematics 1, Paper 2 Pure Mathematics 2 and Paper 3 Statistics and Mechanics. For the most able students, Further Maths is also offered.

Paper 1 - Pure Mathematics 1 (33.33% of A2) 2 hours.

Paper 2 - Pure Mathematics 2 (33.33% of A2) 2 hours.

Section B: Mechanics

  • Quantities and units in mechanics
  • Kinematics

What might this course lead on to?

A-level Mathematics students and graduates are in high demand by employers and maths is the essential transferable component across all science, engineering, technology and maths subjects.
